Let me introduce you to Claudia Wyland, aka BlueGrove on Ravelry, who test knitted Ime in size XS/S using Knit Picks Shadow held double and made this stunning pullover. Claudia used the recommended needle size; 3.5 mm/US 4 to achieve the gauge of 22 stitches and 30 rows in stockinette stitch measuring 10 cm/4 in square after blocking. The lace weight yarn Claudia used has been discontinued.
On her project page, Claudia writes: “Wonderful pattern! Very clear, easy to follow directions, just note that the back and front are knitted inside out, and when seaming, what was the wrong side will now be facing out. I do wish I had shortened it by about two inches, it’s a little long for my torso, but super comfortable.” Thank you ever so much for test knitting and for sharing these beautiful photos, Claudia!
Here is my introduction to the pattern: Named Ime, of Greenlandic decent, is this straight sweater worked in rib with plenty of positive ease and cables that make a wide V-neck. Two center cable begin at the bottom of both front and back while the next cables are knitted at the same time as the armholes are shaped. The sleeves, on the other hand, are worked only in rib. The body ends in a double ribbed neckband. Make the cowl if you want a collar to crown the sweater. Ime is knitted in pieces in the airy Ask by Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.
The pattern is available in English and Norwegian in sizes XS/S to 5XL with a bust circumference of 112 cm to 179 cm/44 to 70.5 in on Ravelry and LoveCrafts. Yarn kits are available directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.
