Look at this stunning Free Falling Pullover knitted by Japanese knitter and patron Nanaho Sawano, aka aoinoteki on Ravelry, in Madeline Tosh DK in the hand dyed Mill pond shade. The lovely yarn is a pure Superwash Merino with a hard twist and 209 meters/228 yards per 112 gram skeins. Nanaho first knitted in size Small but changed to Medium, due to a tight gauge and smaller needles 3.75 mm/US 5 instead of 4 mm/US 6. If you knit the pullover with the given gauge of 20 stitches and 28 rows in stockinette stitch measuring 10 cm/4 in square after blocking, it will result in a finished bust measurement of 97.5 cm/34.5 in. Thank you so much for choosing this pattern and for these magnificent photos, Nanaho!
The Free Falling Pullover showcases unique and wandering cables, feminine shaping, and casual appeal. This fitted pullover has two traveling central cables that are divided by seed stitch and framed by stockinette stitch on the sides. The boatneck is modified by the short-row shaping on the shoulder and ends in an I-cord bind-off.
The pattern was first published in Interweave Knits magazine, Fall 2017, then released as an individual pattern on Ravelry in both English and Norwegian in sizes XS to 2XL with a finished bust measurement of 77.5 to 128 cm/30.5 to 50.5 in.
