The next set of brilliant photos from the Audic photoshoot is of Kaen taken on their trip west in Montana in USA where they stayed at a friend’s ranch. Check out these scenic shoots that photographer Gael Audic took of his wife and model Rebekah, who is wearing the sample in size 2 with 15 cm/6 inches positive ease.
I knitted the sample for the top down seamless pullover Kaen in Garna Nobilis held together with Cumulus with a gauge of 20 stitches and 28 rows in Stockinette stitch using a 4 mm/US 6 needle with 1 strand of each yarn held together measuring 10 cm/4 inches square after blocking.
The two gorgeous yarns were kindly sponsored by Garna. Above is a detail of the neckline.
The pattern is graded in sizes 1 to 9 with a bust circumference of 93 cm to 169 cm/36.5 to 66.5 inches.
The sweater is worked top-down, from one shoulder, then flat to end of armhole, before joining and working the body in the round to final bind off. The sleeves are worked top down with short rows for the cap and then worked in the round to final bind off. Both body and sleeves have a fake seam stitch. The neck band is worked at the end. All twisted rib bands end in a tubular bind off.
Kaen – Japanese for flower garden – is a top down seamless pullover adorned with blooming cables and a set-in sleeve look. The large cable is framed by a small cable and a reversible stockinette stitch stripe around the round neck that ends in a twisted rib, just like the body. Kaen is knitted in the gorgeous Garna Nobilis – a fine lambswool yarn – held together with Cumulus – an extra fine cashmere and silk mixture.
Above is a photo taken before they reached Montana. The pattern has been released in English and Norwegian (Danish and German will come soon) in my Ravelry Store. Thank you so much to my brilliant photoshoot team Gael & Rebekah Audic for these amazing shoots!
