Here is another of my designs that – the German knitter, sewer, designer and Rowan Ambassador – Maria Niedermayer has knitted; Adoe. On her westie99’s project page on Ravelry she writes: “I saw Linda’s cardigan and was delighted: it is in a lovely way timeless elegant and feminine at the same time.” Hers is called Ado-r-e!
Maria knitted size M with the sleeves in size XS (for her “small wrist and slim arms”) and made a tender waist shaping by changing to a smaller needle size plus some other modifications that she mentions on her project page. Take a look at these delicate project photos with flowers to capture the colour!

The yarn Maria chose was Rowan Pure Wool DK in the shade Snow that she hand dyed into a delicate petal pink: “I choose my hand dyed yarn, as I said to myself, I have shades of neutral colours enough for daily life, and when I’m knitting myself, I want to enjoy every stitch knitting with beautiful yarn and colours I love.”

Thank you ever so much for making such a gorgeous version of Adoe and these beautiful photos of it, Maria! The Adoe jacket is knitted with a 22 stitches and 32 rows gauge using 4 mm/US 6 needle measuring 10 cm/4 in square after blocking and comes in sizes XS to 2XL with a bust circumference of 83 to 124 cm/32.75 to 48.75 inches.
