Swiss Yarn Festival 2026: Yarn Haul

My yarn haul from the Swiss Yarn Festival at the end of March 2026 was modest but luxurious, in my opinion. All the yarns are from the German company Nature’s Luxury, which I first spotted at Munich Knits back in November 2024. I cannot wait to start swatching with those! Below you can study a tiny selection of their stunning colours and yarns.

In addition I bought Bärbel Salet’s book Knit Artistic Shawls, as I love her play with colour and finishing touches. Bärbel was teaching two fully booked workshops in German on her use of colour and colourwork techniques.

I was delighted to discover the mYak yarn at the Yarn Lugano stand where Carlotta spotted me first. I was wearing my Arine knitted in their gorgeous Baby Yak Medium, but this time I was eyeing their Fior di Lino. Designer Olga Buraya-Kefelian was demonstrating her stunning Pli design and I captured it on video which I have included in my Vlog from the Swiss Yarn Festival (55 minutes long) available on my Patreon page.

In the top photo, do notice my badge with a luminescent neck strap – at the bar you could easily spot me at night – and at the back it listed the room I was teaching in the different days as well as the time for my meet & greet. Just in case, I would forget or got lost. I did not, not even in the bar. But I love the attention to detail and hope to be back next year! Thank you so much to the organiser Meret Butzberger – aka Butzeria: volunteers; designers; vendors and knitters that I met!
