Workshops at Strikkefestivalen in Fredrikstad 2026

Strikkefestivalen/The Knitting Festival in Fredrikstad is celebrating 10 years in September and I will be teaching 3 new workshops in Norwegian; 2 on Friday 11th and 1 on Saturday 12th. I have not taught at all of the previous festivals, but have visited most of the other ones, as it is located in Fredrikstad the oldest fortified town in Norway (founded in 1567) and always offers a very tempting market hall as well as fabulous workshops.

This year there are 7 of us teaching a total of 14 workshops in addition there are 2 talks, afternoon knitting tea, knitting party night, knit & sing plus pop-up shops and a market hall 24 vendors. You can see all the details on their website here: https://strikkefestivalen.no/arrangementer.html

The first is “Fargelegg din flette”/Color Your Cable on Friday 11th at 10 am to 13 pm. If you are interested in this workshop in English you will find it digitally on Patreon available for the Workshop Pass Holder Level.

The second is “Biser”/Tuck It on Friday 11th at 3 to 6 pm. This workshop is also available in English digitally on Patreon for the Workshop Pass Holder members.

The third and last is “Matte for Strikkere”/Math for Knitters or Gauge Matters – Crunch Your Numbers as I have called it in English. Yes, you will also find this digitally on Patreon for the Workshop Pass Holder members.

There are still spaces on the workshops and you can find information on how to sign on here: https://strikkefestivalen.no/photos.html.

I am looking forward to the festival and hope to see you there!
