Gavida Pattern Released

I am so thrilled to release the Gavida pattern after a successful test knit in my Ravelry Group. The pattern has been corrected and improved by my very skilled test knitters, I am pleased to say. Both an English and a Norwegian pattern is available in my Ravelry Store. Gavida will also be upload to LoveCrafts. The pullover was photographed worn by Model Emmalin Williams – with make-up & hair styling by Janne Skarpeid Hermansen and jewellery by Kaja Gjedebo Design – at Bøler kirke/Church in Oslo back in June last year by Eivind Røhne.

Named after the God of the forge is this fitted pullover adorned with a crest like cable at the top of the front, at the bottom of the back and at the cuff of both sleeves. The rest of the sweater is worked in stockinette stitch to allow the cable to shine. Gavida is worked in pieces for the ultimate fit with a crew neck that ends in a double neckband in rib. It is knitted in the divine Bastøy – a silk and pelt wool mixture – by Oslo Mikrospinneri, hand dyed by Værbitt.
