New Design: Nyoko

I am thrilled to show you the next new design I have made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk using their Ask yarn, the dress Nyoko. The idea was to make another dress with a similar silhouette to Armas but make the front and back equally long, without the kangaroo pocket and with sleeves that are sewn in place. I opted for a cable in the side this time, that ends at the armhole, and is matched by a cabled collar. Yarn kits with either an English or Norwegian pattern will be available directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, while the pattern will be test knitted in my Ravelry group, beginning on 2nd of October, before its release.

In these photos you can see me wearing size small with 4 cm/1.5″ positive ease, photographed by my husband outside of our back garden in Ørje. I have graded the dress in sizes XS to 5XL with a bust circumference of 85 to 161 cm/33.5 to 63.5″.

The sample was skilfully knitted by Nadja, aka 77stricknadel on Ravelry, while I was knitted a different design for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.

The dress is worked in the round to the armhole, then back and forth separately to the shoulders. The body and the shoulders are shaped for a better fit. A circular needle is used due to the large stitch number.
Finally, I will share a detail of the cable in the side. The Nyoko dress looked absolutely divine on Model Emmalin Williams and I cannot wait to show you the photos Eivind Røhne took.
