New Design: Raiden

The last of the four new designs made for the autumn collection for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk is Raiden; an A-line V-neck pullover with a V-neck fill in a contrast colour. The pullover sample is brilliantly knitted by sample knitter Nadja, aka 77stricknadel on Ravelry, in the pure wool Ask in dark grey with a 22 stitches and 30 rows in stockinette stitch using 3.5 mm/US 4 needle measures 10 cm/4″ square after blocking. Yarn kits with either a Norwegian or an English pattern will soon be available directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, while the English pattern will be test knitted, beginning on 6th of November before its release.Named Raiden Japanese for lightening is this V-neck A-line pullover with cables at the center with bright contrast color neck fill. The cables are divided in two for the V-neck and continues across the shoulders as part of the neckband. The back and sleeves are all knitted in stockinette stitch to allow the cables to shine. Raiden is knitted, in pieces for the ultimate fit, in the airy Norwegian combed wool yarn Ask from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. The pullover is worked back and forth in pieces from the bottom and up. The cable on the front is divided and knitted separately across the shoulder to the center of the back neck, as a neckband.Michael photographed me outside of our back garden wearing size Small with 4 cm/1.5 inches positive ease. I have graded the pattern in sizes XS to 5XL with a bust circumference of 85 to 161 cm/33.5 to 65.5 inches. I look forward to showing how stunning Emmalin Williams looked in it at our photoshoot at Galleri Würth outside of Oslo back in June.
