Kanaye Pattern Released

The test knit of Kanaye has come to an end with stunning versions made by my test knitters! I have released the pattern in both English and Norwegian in my Ravelry Store. The design was made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk in their Ask yarn, so yarn kits with either an English or a Norwegian pattern are available directly from their website: ull.no. The vest worn by Emmalin Williams with make-up & hair by Hina Suleman, was brilliantly photographed by Eivind Røhne at Galleri Würth outside of Oslo, back in June.Tucks, reverse stockinette stitch and I-cords adorn this vest that is knitted sideways with a large garter stitch collar and a hem. Named Kanaye – Japanese for the zealous one – as the vest with its waterfall fronts can be used as a shawl or even upside down and closed with a shawl pin. The textured vest is worked in two parts and joined at the center back with a decorative I-cord on top. Kanaye is knitted in the airy Ask from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.Sizes: XS/S (M/L, XL, 2XL) (3XL, 4XL, 5XL). Shown in size Extra Small/Small.

Notes: The vest is worked sideways in two pieces beginning at each front to center back. It is knitted together at the center back with 3-needles and then with an I-cord bind off. Each front begins with a provisional cast on, that is replaced with an I-cord bind off at the end. Stitches are picked up along both long sides, the bottom one for a double hem and the top one for a collar. The collar is worked in garter stitch and ends in an I-cord bind off.
