New Design: Hayami

Hayami is the next new design I will show you made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, based on my Yaelle silhouette but instead of side pockets I have made a Kangaroo pocket adorned with a cable on the front. The high/low oversized pullover is beautifully knitted by my sample knitter Nadja, in Tinde pelt wool yarn using a 3.5 mm/US 4 needle with a 21 stitches and 30 rows measuring 10 cm/4 inches square. Michael photographed me at the National Museum in Oslo, wearing size 2 with 48 cm/19 inches positive ease.Hayami – rare and unusual beauty in Japanese – is a high-low pullover in stockinette stitch with a cabled Kangaroo pocket and swinging side panels that ends in a high turtleneck collar. The side panels are picked up and knitted after the side seams are done. The pocket is knitted at the end. Wear it as you like; hanging loose or gathered with a belt or with a shawlpin at the front. Hayami is knitted in the pelt wool yarn Tinde with lustre from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.I have graded the pullover in sizes 1 to 9 with a bust circumference of 128 to 192 cm/50.5 to 75.5 inches. Yarn kits with either an English or a Norwegian pattern will soon be available directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, while the individual pattern will be test knitting in my Ravelry group beginning on 18th of March, before its release. Long before that I will show you how stunning it looked on model Anette Løvtangen at our photoshoot.
