Photoshoot at Bøler Church December 2024: Hayami

I have been looking forward to showing you how spectacular Hayami, made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, looked on jazz singer Anette Løvtangen during our photoshoot in Bøler Church back in December. I decided to style the pullover with my plissé culottes for a different look than the pencil trousers I chose for Yaelle. Photographer Eivind Røhne brilliantly captured Anette, with make-up & hair by Hina Suleman, holding some left over yarn in the photo above.Anette is wearing size 2 of 9 with a bust circumference of 136 cm/53.5 inches, with 42 cm/16.5 inches positive ease.I also wanted to style the high low pullover in Tinde pelt wool with a belt and folded with a shawl pin at the front. The church organ background added drama to the photo and I loved how much at home Anette felt there. Yes, she does sing gospel and blues in addition to jazz!Hayami – rare and unusual beauty in Japanese – is a high-low pullover in stockinette stitch with a cabled Kangaroo pocket and swinging side panels that ends in a high turtleneck collar. The side panels are picked up and knitted after the side seams are done. The pocket is knitted at the end. Wear it as you like; hanging loose or gathered with a belt or with a shawlpin at the front. Hayami is knitted in the pelt wool yarn Tinde with lustre from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.Hayami is knitted with a 21 stitches and 30 rows in Stockinette stitch using 3.5 mm/US 4 needle measuring 10 cm/4″ square after blocking. Above you see the width of the front with the sidewing. I love the movement in this photo!

Yarn kits will soon be available directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, while the individual pattern will be test knitted, beginning on 18th of March, before its release.
