Let me introduce you to Isabelle, aka KnittaBelle on Ravelry, who test knitted my Celie dress back in 2023, and made this stunning version in size L. She used Sandnes Garn, Sisu and worked the dress in a finer gauge of 24 stitches instead of the given 22 stitches.

I love Isabelle’s version that is so neatly knitted with a perfect fit! On her project page she also shares some wonderful detailed photos of the side stitches and the bottom vent.

I have graded the dress in sizes XS to 5XL with a bust circumference of 115 to 185 cm/45.25 to 72.75 inches.

Here is my introduction to the pattern: Named Celie, of Greenlandic decent, is this oversized long dress with dropped shoulders and vents. A check pattern covers the dress to give it texture except for the sides which has a stripe of stockinette stitch. Celie is worked in the round on the middle part and then back and forth again on the shoulders, for the armholes. The sleeves are worked top down. The dress ends in a double collar, crowned by an I-cord the check pattern low collar rises. Celie is knitted in the airy Ask by Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.
