Riona Pattern Released

The test knit of Riona has come to an end with several stunning results! Hence I have released the pattern in both English and Norwegian in my Ravelry Store. Yarn kits are available online directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. The gorgeous model Emmalin Williams, with make-up & hair by Janne Skarpeid Hermansen and jewellery by Kaja Gjedebo Design, is wearing Riona in size XS with 1 cm/0.5” positive ease and captured by photographer Eivind Røhne at Bøler kirke/Church back in May.

Named Riona, Irish for queenly, is this fitted pullover graced with Celtic cables and crowned by a collar ending in a regal I-cord. A peplum looking bottom band, in double seed stitch with a tuck and a narrow band of reverse stockinette stitch, adds a touch of nobility to the sweater. The sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch, except for the cuffs, to allow the cables to shine. Riona is worked in pieces for the ultimate fit and knitted in the airy Norwegian combed yarn Ask from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.
