I selected another two old design to photograph again on our last photoshoot in December at Sentralen in Oslo. The first of these is the Cable Round Sweater knitted in Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk Tinde pelt wool that was first released in August 2014. I have limited use of the photos as the model was from an agency, hence the need for new photos. Brilliant photographer Wenche Hoel-Knai captured model Olivia Lindtein, with make-up & hair by Nina Hjertaas Bull and jewellery by Kaja Gjedebo Design, wearing the Cable Round Sweater with and without the cowl. Photoshoot at Sentralen: Laplace
You have already seen some of the photos of Laplace – the Palazzo Pants – worn together with Khayam by model Olivia Lindtein, with make-up & hair by Nina Hjertaas Bull and jewellery by Kaja Gjedebo Design, photographed by Wenche Hoel-Knai at Sentralen back in December, but you have not seen any details of the trousers yet. So here they are. I have finished the pattern and shortened the inside leg length as well as the crotch length. Continue reading
Fulla Cardigan in The Knitter issue 175
My first design made for the British magazine “The Knitter”, Fulla Cardigan knitted in Felted Tweed, is published in issue 175. I sent in my design submission back in December 2020 and chose the intoxicating pastels mood board for Spring/Summer 2021 as my inspiration source. The cover design is the Kew Gardens Cardigan by Emma Vining, but my name does appear at the bottom. Below you can read the introduction to my design. Continue reading

Godi Pattern Released
The test knit of Godi, made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, has come to an end with some stunning versions as a result. My test knitters have corrected and improved the pattern, hence it has been released in English on Ravelry. The Norwegian pattern will be added shortly and both languages will be available on LoveCrafts too. Yarn kits with either an English or a Norwegian pattern can be bought directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. The design looked fantastic on model Aksa Mortensen, with make-up & hair by Nina Hjertaas Bull and ring by Kaja Gjedebo Design. Brilliant Photographer Eivind Røhne captured these photos at Hvalstrand Bad back in May last year. Continue reading
Photoshoot at Sentralen: Khayam
The time has come to show you how stunning Khayam – worn together with Laplace -looked on Model Olivia Lindtein, with make-up & hair by Nina Hjertaas Bull and jewellery by Kaja Gjedebo Design, photographed by Wenche Hoel-Knai at Sentralen back in December. Named after the mathematician Omar Khayyam who worked on problems of Algebra is this long slightly oversized jacket with a cable collar and long cuffs. The remaining parts are knitted in stockinette stitch to make the cable stand out. A double belt in stockinette stitch highlights the beginning of the collar. Khayam is worked in pieces for the ultimate fit and made to be worn with the Laplace trousers as a set. Both are knitted in the Bendigo Woollen Mills Classic 5 ply with a crepe construction. New Design: Laplace
Last out in the series of new designs photographed last December, is Laplace. The Palazzo Pants came before the matching Khayam jacket in Bendigo Woollen Mills Classic 5 ply. Brilliant sample knitter Grete Jenssen, aka ma9 on Ravelry, worked the parts for the wide-legged long trousers using a 3.75 mm/US 5 needle and a 24 stitches in stockinette stitch gauge measuring 10 cm/4″ across. Laplace is high-waisted and has side pockets with the opening in between the two cable repeats than run along the leg. I believe the pants could easily be turned into culottes by shortening the legs and I wonder if any of my test knitters will do this. Continue reading
Sirona Knitted by Pia Panso
Here is another Sirona I wanted to share, this one is knitted by Pia Panso in Idéal by Bergère de France in size M back in 2020. The melange dark grey colour called Carbone fits Pia so well and make the pullover appear classic. I love the fit on her as well as the beautiful garden background in these photos! Continue reading
New Design: Khayam
My new jacket design Khayam is part of a set and was actually made after the matching trousers called Laplace. I am showing you Khayam first as I have yet to grade and finish the Laplace pattern. The sample jacket was beautifully knitted by Grete Jenssen, aka ma9 on Ravelry, for me. Photoshoot at Sentralen: Embrae
Embrae is an old design from 2017 that I decided to photograph for the second time around, due to the limited use I have of the first set, as the model was from an agency. Embrae is a fitted lace cardigan knitted in the hand dyed Anzula Squishy in the gorgeous shade of Iris. Here you see how stunning it looked on model Olivia Lindtein, with make-up & hair by Nina Hjertaas Bull and jewellery by Kaja Gjedebo Design, captured by photographer Wenche Hoel-Knai at Sentralen in Oslo last December.
